         2020 Pole Vault Clinic

For the past 16 years, The College at Brockport has trained some of the top male and female pole- vaulters in Division III Track & Field. This clinic will teach the athlete and coach some of the drills, skills, and safety procedures that have brought success to Golden Eagle pole-vaulters. This clinic evolved to promote, educate, and motivate athletes & coaches training for the pole vault.

Athletes and coaches will participate in progressive stations which include interactive safety lecture, underwater vaulting, rope vaulting, gymnastics training, vaulting walk-through drills, and pole vaulting.

We take great pride in producing safe, knowledgeable pole-vaulters.  We offer a wide variety of skills and drills, which help us in achieving sfety and auccess.  We beleive that therough systematic instruction and progressive learning mrthods, you wil be able to vault with confidence to new heights!

Time: 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Cost: $90 Before March 15th  |  $100 After March 15th
$10 Discount per Athlete For Groups of 4 or More; Good through March 25th
Free For Coaches Bringing At Least One Athlete

What To Bring
Vaulters are encouraged to bring a swimsuit, goggles, towel, and personal hygiene products for the underwater vaulting session.

Vaulters are encouraged to bring flats, spikes only for advanced vaulters and proper jumping attire (i.e. shorts and t-shirt, no loose fitting clothing). Be advised outdoor facilities may be used, weather permitting!

The College at Brockport will provide poles. Please do not bring poles with you for this clinic!

What To Expect

  • We will provide some healthy snacks for energy along with a small lunch to get everyone through the long day. Nut free and gluten free snacks will be available.
  • Pole vaulters will progress through a series of 7 stations including: Pole runs, rope vaulting, gymnastics, 2 hours of pole vaulting, pole vault skateboard vaulting, and pool vaulting!
  • We will cater drills based on vaulters abilities.
  • Most importantly, vaulters and coaches are encouraged to bring an open mind, enthusiasm, and a thirst for knowledge.

Additional Information

  • Clinic t-shirts are included for registrations received on or before March 14th.
  • All Clinic entries must be received by March 24th!
  • A confirmation e-mail will be sent to all registrants postmarked by March 19th.
